Electricity main diversion on Clifton Park in Runcorn

Scottish Power will be on site in January to re-route an electricity main along Rothbury Close and Betchworth Crescent. The work will begin on 5 January and is expected to last for around three weeks. The Scottish Power team will ensure local residents will still have access to their driveways during the work.

The electricity main needs to be diverted because it currently runs alongside the main road network in this area, and that main road network is being improved.

CofferdamWork is continuing on the trestle bridge across the river, which should be completed in the spring. Construction of the exterior of the south cofferdam is nearing completion and we are now starting to stockpile sand ready for the infilling work to begin the in the New Year. Read more →

Merseylink helps organise community Christmas parties for residents

The Merseylink project and its staff have donated £1000 to the West Bank Community Centre to help with costs towards two Christmas parties for children and senior citizens.

The first Christmas party was held on December 10, for 25 local children who attend day care at West Bank Community Centre, in Widnes.
