Concrete pour for bridge pylons marks next step for the Mersey Gateway Project

A massive concrete pour will take place in the Mersey estuary tonight (Monday 3 August 2015) as construction crews build the south pylon foundations for the Mersey Gateway Bridge.

It is the project’s biggest single concrete pour and will involve pumping around 1,400 cubic metres of concrete into the south cofferdam to form the base of the south pylon. Read more →

Merseylink and Cheshire Police have issued the plea following reports that youngsters have been throwing logs, branches and stones onto
