Mersey Gateway roadworks update
New works
Essential work on the Mersey Gateway Project means the following new road, lane and footpath closures will be in place over the coming days and weeks.

| 26/06/17 – 24/07/17 Extended until mid-August |
Clifton Road footbridge between Beechwood and Cholmondeley Road, Runcorn | The footbridge between Beechwood and Cholmondeley Road will be closed for improvement work. A footpath diversion will be in place suitable for cyclists, pushchairs and wheelchairs. |
| 04/08/17 – 07/08/17 | A562 Speke Road, Widnes | Weekend closure (7.30pm Friday – 5am Monday) of southbound Speke Road. A diversion will be in place. |
| 04/08/17 – 0708/17 | A557 Weston Point Expressway, Runcorn | Weekend closure (7.30pm Friday – 5am Monday) of the southbound Weston Point Expressway between Bankes Lane and Weston Link. A revised diversion will be in place. |
| 08/08/17 – 09/08/17 | Weston Point Expressway, Runcorn | Overnight total closure (7.30pm – 5am) of northbound Weston Point Expressway between M56 roundabout and Weston Link. A diversion will be in place. |
