Mersey Gateway roadworks and footpath closures update – Sept 14
Essential work on the Mersey Gateway Project means the following new road, lane and footpath closures will be in place over the coming days and weeks.

| 18/09/15 – 21/09/15 | Between Ditton Roundabout and Moor Lane Roundabout | Total closure of the westbound road (from Widnes towards Ditton) connecting Moor Lane Roundabout and Ditton Roundabout from 7pm Friday – 5am Monday. A diversion via Kingsway, Liverpool Road, Hale Road and Ditton Road will be in operation. |
| 21/9/15 –23/9/15 | Daresbury Expressway | Total closure of westbound Daresbury Expressway between 7pm and 5am. A diversion via Central and Southern Expressways will be in place. The closure is overnight only. |
| 2/10/15 –4/10/15 | Moor Lane / Ashley Way | Total closure of Moor Lane westbound and Ashley Way northbound (between Victoria Road and Moor Lane Roundabout) between 7pm on October 2 and midday on October 4. |
| 4/10/15 –approx 8 weeks | Moor Lane / Lower House Lane | A contraflow will be in place eastbound along Moor Lane for about 8 weeks from 7pm on October 4. There will also be a total closure of Lower House Lane. |
| 5/10/15 –approx 8 weeks | Queensway northbound exit slip to Ditton roundabout | Total overnight closures of both Queensway northbound exit slip road and Desoto Road northbound access slip road to Ditton Roundabout. The closure will be in place for about 8 weeks overnight between 7pm and 5am. |
