Mersey Gateway roadworks and footpath closures update – 26 October 2015
Essential work on the Mersey Gateway Project means the following new road, lane and footpath closures will be in place over the coming days and weeks.

| 26/10/15 – 30/10/15 | Ditton Road | There will be a total closure of Ditton Road westbound from Ditton roundabout to the WSR entrance. A diversion will be in place. |
| 26/10/15 – 19/11/15 | Beechwood Avenue | There will be two-way temporary traffic signals on Beechwood Avenue under Lodge Lane Interchange. |
| 26/10/15 for around 7 weeks | Footpath from Castlefields Avenue North to subway under Daresbury Expressway | Closure of the footpath from Castlefields Avenue North to the subway under the Daresbury Expressway. A diversion will be in place. |
| 28/10/15 – for 10 weeks | Desoto Road northbound access slip road to Ditton Roundabout | Overnight closures of Desoto Road northbound access slip road between 3MG and Ditton Roundabout. Also a lane closure on Queensway northbound exit slip road to Ditton Roundabout. The closures will operate between 7pm and 5am. A diversion will be in place. There may be nights between 3 and 11 November when the closure is not required. |
| 02/11/15 – 12/11/15 | A533 Queensway | Off peak (9.30am-3.30pm) lane closures on Queensway flyover over Ditton Junction |
| 06/11/15 – 09/11/15 | Moor Lane and Ashley Way | Total closure of Moor Lane in both directions between Ditton Roundabout and Kingsway from 7.30pm on Friday 6 November to 5am Monday 9 November. Ashley Way will also be closed northbound between Victoria Road and Moor Lane. A diversion will be in place. |

| 9/11/15 – 15/11/15 | Brook Place South Footbridge | Closure of Brook Place South Footbridge (known locally as the ‘curly’ bridge). A diversion via Halton North Footbridge will be in place. |
| 13/11/15 – 16/11/15 | Ditton Roundabout | There will be a partial closure of Ditton Roundabout between the Queensway southbound access slip road and the Ditton Road eastbound access road, including the total closure of Queensway northbound exit slip to Ditton Island and the Desoto Road exit and access slip roads. Diversions will be in place. |
| 13/11/15 – 16/11/15 | A557 southbound, between M56 Junction 12 Roundabout and Clifton Roundabout | There will be a total closure of the A557 southbound between the M56 Junction 12 Roundabout and Clifton Roundabout, from 7.30pm on Friday, 13 November and 5am on Monday, 16 November. There will also be a lane closure on the opposite northbound carriageway. A diversion will be in place. |
| 18/11/15 – 15/02/16 | Halton South Footbridge | Closure of Halton South Footbridge that runs from Halton Lea to Halton Lodge for structure repairs. A diversion will be in place. |
| 20/11/15 – 23/11/15 | M56 Junction 12 roundabout | The junction 12 roundabout and all approaches to it will be down to one lane from 7.30pm on Friday 20 November to 5am on Monday 23 November for surfacing work |
