Feature: Volunteering at the Mersey Gateway visitor centre
Halton residents Harry Hayes, Peter Millward and Malcolm Findlow have been volunteering with Merseylink for almost a year.
We caught up with them to find out how they are enjoying their roles staffing the new Mersey Gateway visitor centre, which is based at the Catalyst Science Discovery Centre in Widnes.

New road, lane and footpath closures
Essential work on the Mersey Gateway Project means the following road and lane closures will be in place over the coming days and weeks.
Total closure of northbound Ditton Flyover next weekend
On Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 April there will be a total closure of the northbound Ditton Flyover – heading towards Liverpool – for 48 hours. Drivers using the Ditton Flyover in Widnes are being warned to expect some disruption, as roads are closed for essential works.
Drivers in Runcorn urged to take extra care through Expressway roadworks
Drivers using the Expressways in Runcorn are being urged to look out for new diversion signs and take extra care along diversion routes through the town. A new phase of road closures and diversions began on 30 March as part of the Mersey Gateway Project.
