Halton Council announces urgent Station Road repair work – leading to 10-week Expressway closure
Halton Borough Council has announced that it needs to carry out urgent repairs to Station Road bridge in Runcorn.
In order to carry out the work it will be closing the Expressway beneath the bridge for an estimated 10 weeks.
This will affect traffic travelling from the Bridgewater Expressway to the Weston Point Expressway and vice versa from 7pm on Sunday 26 April.
The diversion involves travelling over the Silver Jubilee Bridge and returning via Ditton Roundabout.
The work is not connected with the Mersey Gateway Project and will not interfere with project work, but may cause delays for drivers in the local area.
