It will inform residents, businesses and organisations in Halton and the wider north west region about the plans for a new bridge over the Mersey between Runcorn and Widnes.
Ground investigation works get underway
All eyes will be on the banks of the Mersey this spring as environmental studies take place on and around the river as part of the Mersey Gateway project.
GVA Grimley appointed as planning consultants
GVA Grimley has been appointed by Halton Borough Council as the Mersey Gateway’s Planning and Regeneration advisers. An important early task will be to prepare a regeneration framework for the setting of the new bridge, which will cross the River Mersey between Runcorn and Widnes.
Government minister visits Mersey Gateway
Government Minister Gillian Merron MP today visited the site for the new Mersey Gateway in Halton.
During her special visit the Transport Minister toured the Mersey Gateway site and surrounding areas to appreciate the wider regeneration benefits the project will bring to Halton and the Liverpool city-region. She also met the team who will be delivering the project at a briefing session at the Catalyst Museum in Widnes.
