Electricity main diversion on Clifton Park in Runcorn
Scottish Power will be on site in January to re-route an electricity main along Rothbury Close and Betchworth Crescent. The work will begin on 5 January and is expected to last for around three weeks. The Scottish Power team will ensure local residents will still have access to their driveways during the work.

Work is continuing on the trestle bridge across the river, which should be completed in the spring. Construction of the exterior of the south cofferdam is nearing completion and we are now starting to stockpile sand ready for the infilling work to begin the in the New Year. Read more →

th Merseylink as the construction consortium expands its team.Karen Nicholson and Yvonne Meakin, both from Runcorn, secured full-time jobs on the Mersey Gateway Project – just weeks after taking part in the new bridge construction consortium’s volunteer programme.
Merseylink helps organise community Christmas parties for residents
The Merseylink project and its staff have donated £1000 to the West Bank Community Centre to help with costs towards two Christmas parties for children and senior citizens.
The first Christmas party was held on December 10, for 25 local children who attend day care at West Bank Community Centre, in Widnes.

Mersey Gateway Bridge – lane closures at Weston Point Expressway and M56 Junction 12 Roundabout
Lane closures are in place at Weston Point Expressway and the M56 Junction 12 Roundabout in Runcorn as work continues on the major upgrade works to the junction.
The lane closures will be in place between the hours of 9.30am-3.30pm Monday to Friday, and between 7am and 5pm on Saturday and Sunday, and work is expected to be ongoing in this area until the summer of 2015. Read more →
