| 03/09/14 – 05/09/14 | Central Expressway and Halton Lea slip road | Lan e 1 closure on Central Expressway Northbound between Halton Lea and Halton Brow to include TOTAL closure of Halton Lea slip from Spur Road and Halton Brow Exit slip, for Drainage CCTV. Diversions will be in operation. |

No access between Runcorn and M56 Junction 12 on 26-28 July
There will be no access between Runcorn and Junction 12 of the M56 between 10pm this Saturday (26 July) and 5am on Monday 28 July due to a closure of the north roundabout at Junction 12.
Cranes arrive down the Manchester Ship Canal
Activity on the Mersey Gateway Project ramped up this week with the arrival of two large cranes to Wigg Island in Runcorn.
Mersey Gateway Project’s remediation of Catalyst Trade Park wins top technological award
The Mersey Gateway Project’s clean-up work (also called remediation) of a 5.6 hectare site at Catalyst Trade Park in Widnes in partnership with Celtic Technologies has won the ‘Technological Application Award’ at the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation (CIHT) Awards.
Mersey Gateway team swap shovels for fishing nets to carry out fish rescue
The team working on the Mersey Gateway Project swapped shovels and JCBs for dinghies and fishing nets to rehome 680 fish from one part of the St Helen’s Canal to another.
