Mersey Gateway roadworks update
New works
Essential work on the Mersey Gateway Project means the following new road, lane and footpath closures will be in place over the coming days and weeks.
Please note the table below does not include details of ongoing work. For information on existing major closures and diversion routes, visit Plan Your Journey on the Mersey Gateway website.

| 11/5/17 – 26/5/17 | A562 Speke Road, Widnes | Overnight closures (7.30pm – 5am) of Speke Road. The direction of the closure, and therefore the diversion, will alternate between the northbound and southbound Speke Road.

| 08/5/17 -12/5/17 | B5419 Moor Lane, Widnes | Off peak lane closures (09.30am – 3.30pm) of lane 2 of the westbound and eastbound Moor Lane. Traffic will reduce to single lane running. |
| 16/5/17 – 25/5/17 | A533 Central Expressway | Total overnight closure (8pm – 5am) of the main carriageway in both directions (north and southbound) under Halton Lea roundabout. A diversion will be in place using Halton Lea roundabout |
