Mersey Gateway roadworks update
Road openings
The following route will reopen following essential work on the Mersey Gateway project.

| From 06/08/17 | Astmoor Road, Runcorn | Astmoor Road in both directions between Davy Road and Chadwick Road will reopen. |
| From 12/08/17 | Lodge Lane Junction | Lodge Lane Junction will open to northbound traffic only |
New works
Essential work on the Mersey Gateway Project means the following new road, lane and footpath closures will be in place over the coming days and weeks.

| 07/08/17 for approx two weeks | A533 Central Expressway, Runcorn | Total closure of the exit slip road from Central Expressway to Spur Road. A diversion will be in place. |
| 08/08/17 – 09/08/17 | Weston Point Expressway, Runcorn | Overnight total closure (7.30pm – 5am) of northbound Weston Point Expressway between M56 roundabout and Weston Link. A diversion will be in place. |
| 11/08/17 – 14/08/17 | A562 Speke Road, Widnes | Weekend closure (7.30pm Friday – 5am Monday) of southbound Speke Road. A diversion will be in place. |
| 11/08/17 – 13/08/17 | A557 Weston Point Expressway, Runcorn | Weekend closure (midnight Friday – midnight Sunday) of the northbound Weston Point Expressway between M56 Junction 12 roundabout and Weston Link. A diversion will be in place or use M56 Junction 11 and Daresbury Expressway. |
| 12/08/17 – 27/08/17 | A533 Central Expressway, Runcorn | Total closure of the slip road from Weston Link to northbound Central Expressway. Traffic will be diverted over the new Lodge Lane Junction. |
