Mersey Gateway roadworks update – 23 May 2016
Essential work on the Mersey Gateway Project means the following new road, lane and footpath closures will be in place over the coming days and weeks.

| 24/5/16 – 10/6/16 | A562 Speke Road, Widnes | Overnight (7.30pm – 5am) lane closures on Speke Road eastbound (towards Widnes) between the A5300 Knowsley Expressway and Ditton roundabout. |
| 24/5/16 – 23/7/16 | A562 Speke Road, Widnes | Overnight (7.30pm – 5am) lane closures on access and exit slips between Speke Road and Ditton roundabout. |
| From 24/5/16 | A557 Watkinson Way, Widnes | Permanent closure of the southbound carriageway of Watkinson Way (towards the Silver Jubilee Bridge) between the rail bridge and Queensway. Traffic will contraflow on to the northbound carriageway with a single lane open in each direction. |
