Mersey Gateway roadworks update – 23 January 2017
New works
Essential work on the Mersey Gateway Project means the following new road, lane and footpath closures will be in place over the coming days and weeks.

| 23/01/17 | Victoria Road / Waterloo Road, Widnes | Emergency closure of Victoria Road / Waterloo Road in both directions between Hutchinson Street and Ashley Way due to a gas leak. National Grid are working to reopen the road as soon as possible. A diversion is in place. |
| 23-25/01/17 | A562 Speke Road, Widnes | Overnight lane closures (7.30pm – 5.30am) on Speke Road in both directions between Ditton junction and Everite Road. |
| 23-27/01/17 | Victoria Road / Waterloo Road, Widnes | Overnight closures (7.30pm – 5am) of Victoria Road / Waterloo Road in both directions between Hutchinson Street and Ashley Way. A diversion will be in place. |
| 26/01/17 – 11/02/17 | B5419 Moor Lane, Widnes | Overnight lane closures (7.30pm – 5.30am) in both directions on Moor Lane between Kingsway roundabout and Ditton Road. |

| 03-06/02/17 | A533 Central Expressway, Runcorn | Weekend closure (7.30pm Friday – 5am Monday) of Central Expressway southbound (towards Halton Lea) between the offslip and access slip at Halton Brow junction. A diversion will be in place. |
