Mersey Gateway roadworks update – 19 December 2016
Road openings
The following routes will reopen following essential work on the Mersey Gateway project:

| From 22/12/16 | A558 Daresbury Expressway to A533 Central Expressway, Runcorn | The route from Daresbury Expressway to Central Expressway southbound (towards Halton Brow) will reopen via Bridgewater junction. |
| From 22/12/16 | A533 Bridgewater Expressway to A533 Central Expressway, Runcorn | The route from Bridgewater Expressway to Central Expressway southbound (towards Halton Brow) will reopen via Bridgewater junction. |
| From 23/12/16 | A5126 Weston Link offslip to A557 Weston Point Expressway, Runcorn | The slip road from Weston Link to Weston Point Expressway southbound (towards M56 Junction 12) will reopen. |
New works
Essential work on the Mersey Gateway Project means the following new road, lane and footpath closures will be in place over the coming days and weeks.

| 03/01/17 for approx. 3 months | A533 Central Expressway, Runcorn | Closure of Central Expressway northbound (towards Bridgewater junction) between Halton Brow and Bridgewater junction. A diversion will be in place. The slip road from Daresbury Expressway to Central Expressway will reopen prior to this closure. |
| 04/01/17 – 31/03/17 | A557 Weston Point Expressway, Runcorn | Offpeak lane closures (9.30am – 3.30pm) on Weston Point Expressway northbound (towards the Silver Jubilee Bridge) between M56 Junction 12 and Weston Point junction. |
| 04/01/17 – 03/02/17 | A557 Weston Point Expressway, Runcorn | Offpeak lane closures (9.30am – 3.30pm) on Weston Point Expressway southbound (towards M56) between Weston Point junction and Clifton Footbridge. |
| 06/01/17 for approx. 3 months | A557 Weston Point Expressway, Runcorn | Lane closure on Weston Point Expressway southbound (towards M56) between Rocksavage interchange and Weston Point junction. |
| 09/01/17 – 20/01/17 | M56 Junction 12 eastbound exit slip and A557 Weston Point Expressway, Runcorn | Offpeak lane closure (9.30am – 3.30pm) on M56 Junction 12 eastbound exit slip and Weston Point Expressway southbound between M56 Junction 12 roundabout and Clifton roundabout. |

Victoria Road / Waterloo Road, Widnes | Weekend closures (7.30pm Friday – 5am Monday) of Victoria Road / Waterloo Road in both directions between Hutchinson Street and Ashley Way. A diversion will be in place. |
| 16-19/01/17 | Victoria Road / Waterloo Road, Widnes | Overnight closures (7.30pm – 5am) of Victoria Road / Waterloo Road in both directions between Hutchinson Street and Ashley Way. A diversion will be in place. |
