Mersey Gateway roadworks and footpath closures update – 7 December 2015
Essential work on the Mersey Gateway Project means the following new road, lane and footpath closures will be in place over the coming days and weeks.

| 7/12/15 – mid February 2016 | Halton South Footbridge, Runcorn | Closure of Halton South Footbridge (known locally as the Asda footbridge) for structural repairs. A diversion via Halton Lodge footbridge will be in place. |
| 7/12/15 – 8/12/15 | Desoto Road, Widnes | Overnight closure of the north/westbound slip road running from Queensway to Desoto Road. There will be a diversion via Ditton Junction. |
| 9/12/15 – 11/12/15 | Ditton Flyover, Widnes | Overnight (7.30pm – 5am) lane closure on the main carriageway and southbound access slip road from Ditton Roundabout. |
| 9/12/15 – 16/12/15 | Bridgewater Canal and tow path, Runcorn | Intermittent closures of the Bridgewater Canal and tow path at Bridgewater interchange. Closure times may vary but will be approximately from 7-9am, 11am-1pm and 3-5pm. |
| 14/12/15 – 15/12/15 | Ditton Flyover, Widnes | Off-peak (9.30am – 3.30pm) lane closure on northbound Ditton flyover (towards Speke) |
| 14/12/15 – 18/12/15 | Wandsworth Way and Hutchinson Street, Widnes | There will be three-way temporary traffic lights installed overnight at the junction of Wandsworth Way and Hutchinson Street between 7.30pm and 5am. |
| 16/1/16 – 22/1/16 | Ditton Road, Widnes | Closure of Ditton Road westbound (towards Hale) from Ditton roundabout for 300 metres. A diversion will be in place. |
