Mersey Gateway roadworks and footpath closures update – 21 December 2015
Essential work on the Mersey Gateway Project means the following new road, lane and footpath closures will be in place over the coming days and weeks.

Ditton Roundabout, Widnes | Weekend closures of the south west side of Ditton Roundabout between the Queensway southbound access slip road and the Ditton Road eastbound access road, including the total closure of Queensway northbound exit slip to Ditton Island and the Desoto Road exit and access slip roads. Diversions will be in place from 7.30pm on Friday to 5am Monday. |
| 11/1/16 – approx. 2 months | Halton South Footbridge, Runcorn | Closure of Halton South Footbridge (known locally as the Asda footbridge) for structural repairs. A diversion via Halton Lodge footbridge will be in place. |
| 11/1/16 – 17/1/16 | Ditton flyover, Widnes | Overnight (7.30pm – 5am) lane closures on main carriageway on Ditton flyover and southbound access slip road from Ditton Roundabout. |
| 11/1/16 – 26/2/16 | A557 at M56 Junction 12, Runcorn | Offpeak (9.30am – 3.30pm) lane closures in both directions on A557 between M56 Junction 12 roundabout and Clifton roundabout. |
| 16/1/16 – 22/1/16 | Ditton Road, Widnes | Closure of Ditton Road westbound (towards Hale) from Ditton roundabout for 300 metres. A diversion will be in place. |

5/2/16 – 8/2/16 |
A557 at M56 Junction 12, Runcorn | Weekend closures (7.30pm Friday – 5am Monday) of the northbound A557 (towards Runcorn) between Clifton roundabout and M56 Junction 12 roundabout. A diversion will be in place. |
