Mersey Gateway roadworks and footpath closures update – 18 January 2016

Essential work on the Mersey Gateway Project means the following new road, lane and footpath closures will be in place over the coming days and weeks.

18/1/16 – 25/1/16	Ditton Junction, Widnes	Offpeak (9.30am – 3.30pm) lane closures on southbound Ditton flyover and southbound access slip road from Ditton roundabout.
21/1/16	A557 Weston Point Expressway, Runcorn	Lane 1 closure on Weston Point Expressway northbound between M56 Junction 12 roundabout and Rocksavage Viaduct. There will also be rolling blocks on lane 2 when lighting masts are being dropped.
22/1/16 – 25/1/16	Ditton Roundabout, Widnes	~~Weekend (7.30pm Friday – 5am Monday) closure of the north east side of Ditton Roundabout between the northbound access slip to Speke Road and the Moor Lane exit. A diversion will be in place.~~ Update 22/1/16 – this has been changed to lane closures only. The roundabout will remain open.
23/1/16 – 25/1/16	Hutchinson Street / Wandsworth Way, Widnes	Three-way temporary traffic signals at the junction between Hutchinson Street and Wandsworth Way.
25/1/16 – 19/2/16	Watkinson Way, Widnes	Overnight (7.30pm – 5am) lane closures on Watkinson Way, between Ashley Way and Wandsworth Way.
29/1/16 – 1/2/16	Ditton Roundabout, Widnes	Weekend closure (7.30pm Friday – 5am Monday) of the south west side of Ditton Roundabout between the Queensway southbound access slip road and the Ditton Road eastbound access road, including the total closure of Queensway northbound exit slip to Ditton Island and the Desoto Road exit and access slip roads. A diversion will be in place.
29/1/16 – 1/2/16 5/2/16 – 8/2/16	A557 at M56 Junction 12, Runcorn	Weekend closures (7.30pm Friday – 5am Monday) of the northbound A557 (towards Runcorn) between Clifton roundabout and M56 Junction 12 roundabout. A diversion will be in place.
