M56 eastbound exit slip road at Junction 12 re-opens on time
The construction team at Merseylink has beaten this weekend’s bad weather to ensure that junction 12 of the M56 was re-opened on time this week.
Merseylink workers were on site through the weekend, laying almost 1,000 tonnes of material to complete the works and open the slip road ahead of Monday morning’s rush hour.

Motorists using the M56 in Cheshire are being advised that the eastbound exit slip road at junction 12 for Runcorn is scheduled to re-open next week.
The slip road, which has been closed for five weeks for essential Mersey Gateway improvement works, is expected to open on time on Monday 16 November 2015. Read more →

A section of the Central Expressway in Runcorn is to be closed for around seven months from 30 November with separate north and southbound diversions put in place.
