New road, lane and footpath closures
Essential work on the Mersey Gateway Project means the following road and lane closures will be in place over the coming days and weeks.

| 14/1/15 | Astmoor Road | Westbound and eastbound lane closures on Astmoor Road to install vibration strips. |
| 15/1/15 – 21/1/15 | A557 Watkinson Way | Eastbound lane 1 closure, to include both sides of Hutchinson overbridge, from 9:30am to 3:30pm for site clearance work |
| 17/1/15 – 18/1/15(weekend days work) | A557 / M56 Junction 12 | Southbound lane 1 closure from footbridge on Weston Point Expressway to M56 Roundabout for main work. All southbound approaches to M56 |Junction 12 roundabout including the eastbound exit slip are reduced to one lane. From 7am to 5pm. |
| 26/1/15 – ongoing for 6 – 8 weeks | A533 Lodgelane Interchange | Lane 1 and hard shoulder closure to create a site access. This traffic management will be in place constantly for the duration of this phase of work, ie not off-peak. |
| 19/1/15 – 21/1/15 | A533 Queensway to Ditton Roundabout | Northbound offside lane closure on exit slip from Queensway to Ditton Roundabout northbound. From 9:30am to 3:30pm. |
| 26/1/15 – 30/1/15 | Moor Lane Roundabout | Some lane 1 closures on the inner ring on Moor Lane Roundabout. Work will be done in small sections so not all approaches will require closures. From 9:30am to 3:30pm. |
Work is now taking place between 7pm and 5am Monday to Friday, and between 7am and 5pm Saturday and Sunday, along the Weston Point Expressway heading towards the M56 Junction 12. The road is down to one lane southbound as it approaches the roundabout / junction. Work is expected to continue until summer 2015.
