The Plastic Resolution Project starting this summer aims to work with local schools and community groups in Halton to address the problem of plastic waste pollution on the natural environment.
Mersey Gateway project wins national ecology award
The team building Halton’s landmark new Mersey Gateway bridge has won a national competition that recognises excellence in ecology and environmental management.

Giant bridge building machine ‘Webster’ carries out final concrete pour
MSS Webster has completed its final concrete pour on the Mersey Gateway’s south approach viaduct.
The 1,700 tonne machine, which looks and operates like a giant Meccano set, has been working on the south approach viaduct for around 10 months, slowly creating the reinforced concrete deck that will be used by 60,000 vehicles per day. Read more →
