Mersey Gateway still alive as case remains strong
The Mersey Gateway Project team has strongly rejected media reports claiming that the project has hit a brick wall following an announcement made yesterday by Transport Secretary Philip Hammond that decisions on all major transport infrastructure projects would be put on hold until after this autumn’s Comprehensive Spending Review.
Mersey Gateway Project welcomes Lord Adonis’ support
The Mersey Gateway Project has today (Friday 9th April) welcomed the news that Lord Adonis has written to Halton MP, Derek Twigg, stressing his party’s support for the project.
Gateway team confirm Inspector’s report now with Government
The Mersey Gateway Project team has today (Wednesday 3rd February) officially confirmed that the Inspector’s report from last summer’s public inquiry has now been passed to Government officials. .
Jobs secured for Halton as Mersey Gateway team relocates first business
Thermo Fisher Scientific’s Runcorn operation is to become the first business to be relocated by the Mersey Gateway Project.
