Be part of Halton’s History and help us celebrate the joining of the new bridge deck
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for some lucky Halton schoolchildren to win a trip to the new bridge and be at the centre of a special event to help celebrate the joining of the new bridge deck later this term.
Don’t miss out – it is easy for your school to enter. All you do is
- Have a competition in your school where you ask your Key Stage Two pupils to:
a. create an artwork showing the new bridge – some of them may have done one already!
b. in no more than 100 words say what the Mersey Gateway Bridge means to them.
- Choose your school’s winning entry and send it to the Mersey Gateway team for the final judging before the closing date of 30 June.
The competition is open to all Key Stage 2 children in Halton – good luck everyone!
The prize: A special trip to the centre of the new bridge this summer!
We’ll be selecting the four best entries from local school children across Runcorn and Widnes and inviting the winners and their teachers to be part of a special ceremony to mark the final joining of the bridge deck.
We’d also like to display the winning artworks at our Mersey Gateway Visitor Centres
How to enter:
It’s easy – just choose your school’s winning entry and send it to to merseylink by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org before the closing date of 7 July.
